Too Human 15 to 80 hours long - Dyack
Second and third games underway.
Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack said hitting the level 50 limit in Too Human may take anywhere between 50 to 80 hours.
"First play through is probably around 15 hours, I guess, it depends. To get to level 50, it's anywhere from 50 to 80 hours. It's a lot! There's a lot there to want to dig! And to get all the epic loot - I don't even know if it's possible to get everything in the game, it's probably not - not for a single person," Dyack told Kikizo.
The ambitious Xbox 360 role-playing game, based on Norse Mythology and set in an ancient but technologically advanced civilisation, is finally finished. And Europeans will get the game on 29th August.
Dyack, surprisingly, then said work on the two following instalments in the trilogy was already quite far in advance.
"The story was done a long time ago," he said. "The theme of the first game is discovery, the theme of the second game is revenge, and the third game, enlightenment.
"And the trilogy and the whole idea of focusing on the Norse mythology and effects on technology we think is really going to turn people's heads."
The Silicon Knights boss was also optimistic of timely turnouts for the rest of the trilogy; it is "very possible" we will see them before Microsoft replaces the Xbox 360 hardware.
If not, Dyack revealed Too Human was built to be scalable, "So even if another platform does come out, we're not very worried about it."
Head over to our hands-on first impressions of Too Human to find out more.

I guess the reviews nearer release will paint a better picture of whether this game really is worth buying or not...

Not exactly a surprise when you discover that Too Human was planned for the PlayStation (1) before briefly flirting with the GameCube and then finally landing on the Xbox 360! LOL

Whether this'll be any good = highly questionable.

I might pick it up when it’s cheaper and I’m in a gaming lull though.

Haha! Nice link! Although I am quite looking forward to this game, I , too, enjoyed the demo and am looking forward to a nice and huge co-op adventure to sink my teeth into...
The 'I am first!' comment, made 8 years after the article was published, really made me laugh though! Surely that's the longest time it's taken for someone to make that idiotic 'first!' comment...

Like most will more than likely wait until it comes down in price and when there isn't much else to play. See as its coming at the start of the busiest season of the year I don't see that happening for a while.

You're kidding right?! I can't ever take them serious anymore after the ridiculous Patapon review. I wish there'd be a games magazine (or website) with smart but not self-indulgent writers that were not all pixel-loving, hype-sustaining hardcore gamers... These days I have to subtract the review scores from the max. score to get something that comes close to my perceived quality of a game...

Bit of a strange sequence... Revenge and enlightenment seem to contradict each other quite a bit. Bet enlightenment will only surface in the final cutscene. Playing an enlightened hero gets old pretty fast...

Unfortunately, your score of 7 for Lair and 1 for Oblivion makes your opinion on games even harder to take seriously.
Which pretty much cancels out your criticism of Games(tm).
Shame really.

You enjoyed playing the demo, but a negative preview puts you off?
Considering the game will be demo x 1000, with bigger and better things later on (like...any demo/game, except the utter rubbish ones, which this isn't), I'm not sure why you're placing so little faith in your own judgement.

It's taken 9+ years to make this game... which do you think he means?

"Not really the length of the game though is it? Just replaying the campaign over and over to get to a certain level..." Precisely.
