Watch it like a hawk.

EA has let slip that it will be publishing a demo for skateboard sequel Skate 3 on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network on 15th April.

The news was printed on the back of stickers handed out at the PAX East show in Boston at the weekend. Joystiq snapped the evidence.

The game proper is due for release a little under a month later, 14th May, in Europe. Check out the Skate 3 gamepage for hands-on impressions and more.

I'm quite glad they're releasing a demo as hopefully it'll be able to convince me that this game is actually different to the last one.

@duckncover : Point me towards the news articles which tell me about every other game demos which are "coming".

If they did this for every game, the whole site would be devoted to telling us that "latest game is getting a game demo - SHOCKER!"

Seems VERY strange to me...

Yes, we do usually run news stories when demos for major games are announced or released. We don't always do it in advance as here, but that's because demos are not always announced in advance (or at least not this far in advance). A couple of recent (non-EA) examples:

I've still got to play Skate 2, only spent about an hour on it so far I just can't get my huge head around the controls.
