Medal of Honor gets patched up

PC bugs fixed, weapons tweaked.

PC users are set to be the lucky recipients of a Medal of Honor patch, developer Danger Close has announced.

The studio made the announcement on its blog, stating, "We have been working on the feedback from the forums that you posted during the PC beta. We are listening to your major concerns and are pleased to show you the change/fix list."

The list, which you can see in full below, includes a number of weapon and control tweaks, as well as various bug fixes.

No announcement has yet been made regarding updates for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game.

However, publisher EA did recently reveal that free multiplayer DLC was incoming, off the back of impressive sales of the shooter. The franchise reboot apparently shifted 1.5 million copies in its first week on shelves.

Danger Close's patch hasn't been dated yet, but the multiplayer DLC goes live on 2nd November.

Sure lower the sniper damage but leave the assault rifles and carbines alone they are fine. I love that they are accurate as hell if I wanted the gun spraying all over the place I'd be playing BC2 something I don't do because the guns are such utter arse.

I seriously cannot understand this at all. Guess I just pissed away my 30 quid then. Well at least I have learned my lesson, stay away from DICE's games in future.

They really need to fix the mouse sensitivity problem. I can barely play this game on the pc becuz the mouse moves way too fast even on the lowest setting. And yes, I changed it to slow in windows 7 as well but it barely made a difference. This is a pretty cool game but the mouse issue is really ruining it for me & several others as well.

Lowering the rifle damage, especially of a bolt-action rifle, is ridiculous. All realism niggles aside, a weapon with that slow a rate of fire should be a one-hit kill, ESPECIALLY when a game has a regenerative damage system.

Whining about sniping is the cause of this change, and nothing else. I rarely play as a sniper, but if you have a problem with the damage their weapons cause, try popping smoke more often or taking a different route to the objective.

@ljvasey: Learn to headshot. Seriously, it seems far easier to get headshots in MoH than in other games. One hit kill on any body part with the bolt action rifles was utterly retarded, especially when they have perfect accuracy like the rifles do in MoH. I play bolt-action Sniper in MoH and I'm content with these changes. It will encourage people to headshot or use the semi-auto rifles, both of which are results.

Its very strange that the PC gets a patch before the consoles even though all platforms share alot of similar problems with snipers, spawn killing etc. but the consoles are getting the DLC before PC. You would think that there would be some consistency.

A patch the makes the game a little harder can't be a bad thing. I played the whole thing through in 5 hours, at max difficulty. I'm pretty retarded at these things and it usually takes me much longer. For Comparison Stalker CoP took me 76 hours and CoDMW2 took me 15 hours. Not good value for money!
