Xmas VC treat from Ninty

Business as usual this week.

Nintendo made us choke on turkey in surprise this Christmas by sneaking Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble onto the Virtual Console for the big day.

Rather Scrooge-like it asked for the usual 800 Points (GBP 5.60/ EUR 8), but is generally pretty good - if a little similar to the other two SNES DKC games already on the service.

According to Nintendo it should have been accompanied by another Christmas surprise, although it was keeping its cards suspiciously close to its chest - promising to reveal all on Friday.

Those of you with keen eyes will also have noticed the Virtual Console elves took a day off and offered nothing on the 28th December, although everything should be back to normal this week.
