Xbox 360's Infinite Undiscovery dated

Square Enix RPG worldwide in September.

Square Enix's Xbox 360-exclusive RPG Infinite Undiscovery will be released worldwide in September - on the 2nd in North America and on the 5th in Europe.

Put together by Star Ocean developer tri-Ace, Infinite Undiscovery is the story of a young boy who has to save the world after the Order of Chains ties up the moon at the behest of the evil Dreadknight.

Binding the moon in chains inevitably spreads "foul and deadly creatures" across the land, so you and other adventurers plucked from a pool of 18 have to go out and punch them.

"As players are faced with a variety of episodic situational battles, they will discover that they may have to try various methods to defeat the enemy, where the most obvious solution is rarely the right move," says Square Enix of the battle system.

"Snipe distant enemies with the help of a bow-wielding ally or skilled magic user. Based on each player's decisions, the intricate environments will offer a variety of experiences, presented in a way never before seen in RPGs."

Presumably all will become clear when we get our hands on Infinite Undiscovery nearer to its release. Look out for a full review around then.
