The Wordle answer today is AMASS.

'ACTOR' was my first guess and by finding out the first letter the process of discovering the other became easier. The second word I tried was 'AMEND' and in the third attempt I went with 'AMASS', finding out the correct word without too much work.

Today's Wordle etymology

The word 'AMASS' has a direct connection with the word 'MASS' when it comes to meaning. In Middle English, the word 'MASSE' implied the idea of quantity of matter. Still in Middle English, 'MASSEN' would have the equivalent meaning of 'to amass'.

There are also records of the Old French word 'AMASSER' in the late 12th century which indicated the action of accumulating.

Meanwhile Dordle, Quorodly, Octordly and Sedecordle all keep to the standard Wordle, while increasing the number of words you have to find. The challenge comes in how your guesses count for all of the words, so you need to decide whether you’re going to focus on a specific word or try to solve multiple words at the same time. Thankfully, the number of guesses you’re given increases alongside the amount of words you’re expected to solve.
