Wizardry RPG a PSN exclusive this spring

In Japan the decades-old series lives on.

Decades-old role-playing series Wizardry will make an exclusive comeback on PlayStation Network this spring, publisher XSEED has announced.

The game, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, localises Japanese release Wizardry: Dungeon of Imprisoned Souls, developed by Japanese studio Acquire.

Having been Japan-based for years, Wizardry has taken a walk on the anime side. The adventure remains a first-person exploration of a 3D-grid dungeon, however, and is illustrated with hand-drawn characters and monsters - some 120 of them.

Yours will be a party of six characters, picked from a selection of five races and eight classes.

Wizardry begun as series in 1981, with the release of Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord.
