Vote for "ultimate" gaming song

We expect they mean "best".

Entries to Microsoft's "game inspired music" competition have now ended, and you can vote on the best picks on the official website.

The polls will close on 19th July, and the best of the best will be selected soon after. The winning track will be recorded professionally by the Universal Music Team.

The brief was to compose music inspired by the latest and greatest games, from Viva Pinata to Halo 3. Even famous names have been taking part - including the Scissor Sisters, who had a bash at a Halo Wars tune.

Plug your headphones in and head over to the official site to get involved.
