Virtua Tennis Wii out next Friday

Mario and Sonic Winter Games in Oct.

SEGA has confirmed the Wii version of Virtua Tennis 2009 for release next Friday, 19th June.

This is one of a handful of games that support the Wii MotionPlus peripheral, which launches here tomorrow. Read our hands-on impressions of Virtua Tennis 2009 or the Wii MotionPlus peripheral itself to find out more.

Virtua Tennis 2009 has already been released on PS3 and Xbox 360, where the sports series struggled to find the form we've previously praised it for. Our Virtua Tennis 2009 review will tell you why.

SEGA also offered dates for Wii game Wacky World of Sports, which arrives in September, as well as Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, which slaloms onto shelves in October.
