Turtle Beach signs PS4 official headset deal

Good sand quality?

Gaming headphone giant Turtle Beach has inked a deal with Sony to create official headsets for PlayStation 4.

The official headsets will be unveiled this summer and released this autumn, in tournament-grade editions as well as models for mere mortals.

You'll be able to use the same headset to plug into Vita consoles.

The partnership means Turtle Beach is in a good position to make full use of PS4 connectivity, which caused a couple of minor legacy headset issues at the turn of the generation.

That should mean completely wireless headsets from Turtle Beach on PS4, bypassing the need to plug into the DualShock 4 chat adaptor. Exactly what Turtle Beach has planned, though, we'll have to wait to find out.
