Apple has sold an incredible 189 million iOS devices.

Yesterday it posted its financial results for its second quarter – and they're staggering.

Apple made an eye-watering $5.99 billion profit in the three-month period ending 26th March, with a whopping $24.67 billion in revenue.

The company is sitting on a $65.8 billion cash and cash equivalents pile. DuckTales. Woo-hoo!

Apple sold 3.76 million Macs, 18.65 million iPhones, 9.02 million iPods, and 4.69 million iPads during the quarter.

Total iOS sales to date: 189 million.

$1.4 billion was made in iTunes sales (1 billionth visitor coming soon), more than 100 million eBooks were downloaded, 350,000 apps are available (more than 10 billion downloads), and more than $2 billion has been paid to developers.

Let's talk about Apple stores. More than 300 stores are open across the world. 40 more will open this year. 797,000 Macs were sold in stores, half to customers without Mac history.

All these figures are up versus the same period last year, of course.

Looking ahead to its third quarter, Apple expects to make $23 billion. As you do.

These figures do not include sales of the iPad 2. The iPhone 5 is rumoured to launch in September.
