The First Templar coming to PC, 360

Tropico creators unveil action adventure.

Haemimont Games, the studio best known for producing the Tropico series, has unveiled its next offering.

Titled The First Templar, it's an action adventure game in development for PC and Xbox 360. The game is set in the 13th century and features 20 "historically accurate" locations. You control a French Templar and a noble lady who has been branded a heretic. In single-player mode you can switch between the two main characters as you play. There's also a drop-in, drop-out co-op mode.

Expect mysteries, conspiracies and more secrets of the Holy Grail than Dan Brown could shake a lawsuit at. You can also expect to face enemies such as the Saracen, King Philip IV of France and the Inquisition. Presumably not the Spanish one.

The First Templar is down for a release in the first quarter of 2011. While you're waiting, why not have a look at the first screenshots?
