Sam & Max developer Telltale Games has five new games to announce, one of which could be based on zombie comic and TV series The Walking Dead, reports suggest.

According to an invitation received by 1Up, Telltale Games will unveil five new multi-platform projects at an event in San Francisco on 17th February.

One of them is described by Telltale as being "based on a just-launched property from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as some know it."

The Walking Dead comic series written by Robert Kirkman and recently adapted into a TV series by Shawshank Redemption director Frank Darabont seems to fit that description rather well. And considering Telltale's recent spate of movie tie-ins, such a project would jive nicely with its current MO.

We've requested comment from the developer, whose thoroughly enjoyable Back to the Future adaptation launched on PC last month, and will update if it chooses to confirm or deny.
