What can we expect from the March 2022 PlayStation State of Play?

PlayStation has said we can expect "first looks and updates" on PS4 and PS5 titles as part of the online presentation, with a "special focus" on Japanese publishers.

However, we can expect studios from around the world to also feature - and Sony has confirmed there will be no updates on PlayStation VR2 titles or hardware.

This still leaves us a lot of room for what to expect. Though Square Enix was prolific in their announcements as part of the Nintendo Direct last month, it's possible we might see updates on Final Fantasy 16 or Final Fantasy 7 Remake 2 - which are both overdue a re-reveal.

It does, however, appear that a new Stranger of Paradise demo is coming, thanks to an earlier leak.

To give you an idea of the number of announcements coming tonight, the October 2021 PlayStation Direct saw a new trailer for We are OFK, a Bugsnax expansion and Five Nights at Freddy's, news of (secret best game of 2021) Death's Door coming to PlayStation, beta tests for KartRider: Drift and King of Fighters XV, the announcement of Star Ocean The Divine Force, the latest look at Little Devil Inside and more.
