SSFIV 3DS has over-the-shoulder view

Hadou-what?

The 3DS version of Super Street Fighter IV has an over-the-shoulder view.

Reports from attendees at Nintendo's Japan 3DS event suggest that when 3D is turned on, the camera repositions itself from side on to just behind the shoulder of the selected character.

"It's like a different game," said a 4gamer reporter (translated by Andriasang).

Commands operate normally and the camera sticks to the character's back at all times. See it in action in this Japanese news report (at the 1 minute 22 seconds mark).

This is the first we've heard of the behind the shoulder view – we'll check with Capcom now.

Yesterday producer Yoshinori Ono told Eurogamer fans will be able to input commands using the 3DS touch screen – as an alternative to the d-pad button configuration.
