Sony relaxes Video Unlimited DRM policy on PlayStation

Buy a video or TV show and download infinitely.

Video Unlimited lets you buy and rent movies and TV shows on PlayStation devices.

Sony has relaxed its Video Unlimited digital rights management policy on PlayStation devices.

The company has added support for a cloud library and re-downloads across multiple devices, Shacknews reported.

Before the change, users were unable to re-download purchased content from the Video Unlimited service.

"Movie rentals are available for viewing up to 30 days after purchase and can be viewed multiple times within 24 hours on the same device," reads the updated Video Unlimited website.

"If you purchase a copy, the video or TV show download will be available infinitely and can be transferred to other enabled devices."

Sony later issued a statement confirming the change.
