Sony PS3 3D TV UK launch pushed back to 2012

Amazon: "Expect an update in the new year."

Sony's PlayStation 3 3D TV won't be available in the UK this year, according to online retailer Amazon.

As spotted by MCV, the listing for the £410 24" screen now reads:

"We have been informed by our supplier that there will be a delay in obtaining stock for this item and it will no longer be released in Europe in 2011.

"If you have ordered this item from us at Amazon.co.uk your order will take longer to fulfill than originally estimated. We are expecting an update in the new year."

The set launched in the US earlier this month but, as reported earlier this week, the promised European roll-out never materialised. Sony is yet to offer an explanation for the delay.
