Sony formally reveals Killzone 3

Confirms leaks, doesn't mention date.

Sony's lifted the lid on PS3 shooter Killzone 3.

The game made headlines earlier today, with jetpacks, ice levels and 3D modes all unveiled.

Sony's press release confirms 3D and offers a hint at the story. This begins where KZ2 left off, after a nuclear bomb has wiped out all of the ISA force but you.

Levels will be "ten times bigger" and ice and space environments will feature.

There's much more detail in our earlier story. Still no word on a date.

Look out for a full preview on Eurogamer very soon.
