Sony buys MotorStorm 3 domain

But downplays connotations.

Sony has registered motorstorm3.com and started pointing it at PlayStation.com.

But not everything is black and white. "It's not uncommon for us to secure the URLs containing the names of our successful IP, and those actions should not be interpreted as an announcement of a new title in a franchise," a spokesperson told Eurogamer this afternoon.

Irish blog The Gaming Liberty spotted the registration, which is dated 19th January 2010.

MotorStorm was one of the games that introduced PS3 to the world back at launch in March 2007.
