SNES Wii controller gets UK release

But only if you're a Club Nintendo member.

The Wii-compatible classic SNES pad only available in Japan since 2007 will finally be released in the UK through Club Nintendo.

The pad, which plugs into the Wii Remote and acts as a Classic Controller, will set Club Nintendo members back 7000 Star Points.

If you want one, you'd better hurry – these things don't hang around for long.

For the uninitiated, Club Nintendo is a customer reward service that allows gamers to trade Star Points harvested from special codes included with first-party games and hardware for various exclusive Nintendo goodies.

You earn 100 points for registering a DS title and 200 points for a Wii title. You do the maths, but this one could be for serious game hoarders only.
