Scarygirl announced for PC, PSN, XBLA

Square Enix's graphic novel tie-in out this month.

Square Enix has just announced Scarygirl, a platformer due out on PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade later this month.

Developed by Tik Games, it's an adaptation of Nathan Jurevicius' popular graphic novel of the same name.

The game follows the titular abandoned child, who sports a tentacle for an arm and dresses like a pirate, as she embarks on a quest to discover why she's haunted by nightmares of a strange man.

According to the announcement, she'll be assisted in said adventure by Blister the giant octopus and Bunniguru the kung-fu rabbit.

It's due out on XBLA from 18th January, with a US PSN launch pegged for 24th January. European PSN and PC release dates are not yet to be confirmed.
