Reduced PlayStation game sharing policy comes into effect

PlayStation Network maintenance over.

With yesterday's PlayStation Network maintenance over, Sony's reduced game sharing policy has come into effect.

Previously, games bought from the PlayStation Store could be shared between five consoles. This has been reduced to two, spread across the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable devices.

PS3 users are able to play a game on up to two activated PS3 systems. PSP users will be able to play a game on up to two activated PSP systems.

Games bought prior to yesterday's maintenance are unaffected.
