The redesigned PlayStation Network Store is now open for business, complete with some brand new downloads.

There's SEGA Superstars Tennis demo and video, for example, plus trailers for Bionic Commando Rearmed and Lost Planet. Or how about a Dropkick Murphys song pack for Guitar Hero III - it's free, after all. The new Super Stardust HD Solo add-on, however, costs GBP 2.99.

PS3 Fanboy reports that if you have a US account, you can get a free Lair pack and two Gran Turismo 5 Prologue videos.

But perhaps most exciting is the new look to the store itself. The menus make more sense, the interface is much more intuitive and the whole thing is generally slicker. Apart from the fact menu icons still take a while to load. A bit of a shame.

Switch on your PS3 and plug it into the Internet to download firmware update 2.30 now. Along with access to the new PSN Store, it offers DTS-HD audio support.
