PSN downtime scheduled for Thursday evening

Log-in before then and you might be able to stay online.

PlayStation Network will be offline from 4.00pm BST on Thursday until 8.00am on Friday for maintenance, Sony has announced.

During that time you'll be unable to access the PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP and PS Vita, PlayStation Network Account management or PlayStation Network account registration.

However, Sony notes that if you log-in before 4.00pm on Thursday you may be able to continue online play.

Any Trophies you pick up during the downtime will be added to your profile as soon as everything's back up and running.

Sony didn't offer a reason for its tinkering.
