PS3 owners get free Music Unlimited trial

180-day subscription to streaming service.

PlayStation 3 users can sign up for a free 180 day trial of Sony's Music Unlimited service from today, the platform holder has announced.

As detailed on the PlayStation Blog, if you're interested, turn on your PS3, click on the Music Unlimited tab below the Music icon, download the app and follow the sign up instructions.

You'll then get access to the streaming service for six months before being asked if you want to hand over your credit card details for a full subscription.

The offer is open to all PS3 owners in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. You'll need to be 18 or above and never held a Music Unlimited subscription before. The promotion is open for a "limited time".

Sony's ad-free music streaming service launched late last year and currently offers over seven million tracks and a range of customisation features.
