Paramount making girly films into games

Clueless, Mean Girls, Pretty in Pink.

Paramount is thundering into the games market with adaptations of Mean Girls, Clueless and Pretty in Pink. All our dreams have come true.

These have been picked to appeal to girls, Paramount's Sandi Isaacs told Variety, and will be cheap, downloadable affairs released in the US at the end of the year.

Paramount is looking into offering the games on DS in the future, too.

The news follows Universal's announcement last week of Wanted, an adaptation of the film starring Angelina Jolie and the bloke out of Atonement.

Universal is entirely self-funding the game, with Bionic Commando developer GRIN behind the wheel.
