The time has come. After 10 years of hurt, fighting game fans finally have what they've been waiting for: Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

The Capcom created three-on-three brawler hits shops this Friday, and the internet is already packed with videos and tutorials (including Eurogamer's own) on how to make sense of the combo madness.

Eurogamer is, however, aware that there are some gamers out there who do not obsess over hit boxes and frame data and cross over assists. In the unlikely event that you, dear reader, count yourself among them, there's an eclectic line-up of alternatives to choose from.

This Friday sees the release of Deathsmiles Deluxe Edition, the Cave shmup that has fans of the mind-bending genre salivating. Meanwhile, Mastertronic releases PopCap collection PopCap Hits. Four games are included: Bejeweled, Peggle, Feeding Frenzy and Astropop.

Rounding up this week's releases is a digital download duo. This Wednesday sees the release of Konami's Contra game Hard Corps: Uprising on Xbox Live Arcade, and the first chunk of Telltale Games' Back to the Future: The Game episodic series on the PlayStation Network.

Chart Predictions!

Each week one of the team will step up to predict the UK all-formats chart. The following predicts the outcome for the week beginning Friday 18th February (to be reported on Monday 21st January).

Ellie Gibson, Deputy Editor, Eurogamer.net

"It's an exciting time for chart predictions. Not because there are any new games out, but because this week's release(s) offer plenty of opportunities to mix metaphors. So I predict Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will push Test Drive Unlimited 2 from the top of the winner's podium when it enters the ring, assuming pole position as arranges its sweaty thighs astride the popular racer's face. Everything else coming out is either niche or ****. Call of FIFA in Space it is then."

  1. Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  2. FIFA 11
  3. Dead Space 2
  4. Call of Duty: Black Ops
  5. Test Drive Unlimited 2

Eurogamer Website & Video Administrator Tom Phillips peered into his crystal ball last week. We've made a fancy table to show how he did.

Position The Truth The Prediction Result
1 Test Drive Unlimited 2 FIFA 11 WRONG!
2 Dead Space 2 Dead Space 2 YES!
3 FIFA 11 Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood WRONG!
4 Call of Duty: Black Ops Call of Duty: Black Ops YES!
5 Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Just Dance 2 WRONG!
