Nintendo Switch system features shown off in video

Someone got one very early...

Someone with a (very early) Nintendo Switch console has filmed themselves turning it on, going through the setup process and demoing the system's UI.

Nintendo has shown little of the Switch's workings - although the video shows there really isn't a great deal to see.

The Switch at least runs its minimal UI smoothly with no lag - a huge improvement on the Wii U. But there's no Mii Plaza or Wii Channels here - just a series of menus and system icons.

The video comes from NeoGAF user hiphoptherobot, who claims a store made a mistake and sent it to him early.

"It isn't like I grabbed it off the back of a truck or anything, I just happened to get lucky because unnamed store decided to ship early for whatever reason," hiphoptherobot wrote.

Here it is (and if this gets pulled from YouTube there are already mirrors online):

After the basic setup process the menu can be seen to host a News page, an Album for captured screenshots, the eShop (unavailable until a system update), controller and system options and a button for Sleep Mode.

System settings houses options for flight mode, and also houses the system's Mii creator. Themes are also available - light and dark variants are selectable from the off.
