Ni no Kuni 2's upcoming Tale of a Timeless Tome DLC episode gets a trailer

Ahead of next week's launch on PC and PS4.

Level-5's Ni no Kuni sequel Revenant Kingdom gets its second major DLC episode next week, March 19th, in the form of The Tale of a Timeless Tome - and there's a brand-new trailer to get you in the mood.

According to publisher Bandai Namco, The Tale of a Timeless Tome will introduce new story elements, new locations, new characters, and new fighting Methods, with much of it themed around a mysterious entity known as the Conductor.

The Conductor - a giant, tuxedo-wearing rabbit - inhabits a dream world "where people's memories mix and mingle" that protagonist Evan slips into while falling asleep at the Goldpaw Inn. "Who is this off character and what is his objective?", asks Bandai Namco, as if it didn't know the answer already. Additional intrigue may be found in the new trailer below.

Elsewhere, there's promise of new Methods to enhance the game's battle system, including Wizard's Companion - which, teases Bandai Namco, "may sound familiar to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch players" (and is almost certainly the "timeless tome" of the title) - and the "higgledy-handling secrets" of Martha's Methods. There's also a new battle arena, known as The Solosseum Slog, with players able to earn new items as a reward for besting its challenge.

The Tale of a Timeless Tome DLC will cost $14.99 USD (around £11) when it launches on PS4 and PC on March 19th. It's also included as part of Ni no Kuni 2's £16.99 season pass.
