PoP and BG&E are PS2 exclusive for 2003

Ubi Soft thinks it's onto a winner. Having whored Sam Fisher to Microsoft last year, before trotting him out on every platform under the sun in the first few months of 2003, the French publisher now plans to share its expensive love and give PS2 exclusive use of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Beyond Good & Evil for the whole of 2003 "in all PAL territories". Whether that last bit means that the Yanks can look forward to PoP and BG&E on their Xboxes, GameCubes and PCs remains to be seen, but over here at least it'll be PS2 right up to the end of the year.

And we should care, really, because PoP - developed by Ubi Soft's now infamous Montreal Studio - is one of those re-flogging our childhood types that might actually be good, while BG&E is the product of Michel Ancel, he of Rayman fame. Both titles are obviously due out before the end of the year.
