Stars Catalogue update begins

Nintendo freebies improve.

Nintendo Europe's Stars Catalogue will be updated very soon, the website claims. From Monday August 25th, the catalogue will be going offline while the web monkeys introduce changes that should mean more tangible extras for GBA and Cube fans. Amongst the additions, we're promised games, T-shirts and Nintendo gifts.

Some time ago, after initially trialling this sort of give-away, Nintendo changed the Stars formula so the best things on offer were bits of character artwork and iron-on T-shirt transfers. No doubt Satoru Iwata's announcement of a similar sounding incentive scheme for the US and Japan has something to do with the Stars overhaul here in Europe.
