Xbox 360's US line-up

Oh so THEY get Ridge Racer.

Microsoft's followed up yesterday's announcement of the Xbox 360's European launch line-up with news of its American counterpart.

The yanks will be able to choose from 18 games on day one. In addition to our fifteen - which include the first-party trio of Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3 - American gamers will find NBA 2K6, NHL 2K6 and Ridge Racer 6 lurking on the shelves.

As you may recall, 2K Sports was aiming to have its NBA and NHL games ready for December 2nd alongside Amped 3, but it sounds like that fell through. Presumably not for long.

Also, in a move clearly designed to upset yours truly, Ridge Racer 6 is going to be out in the USA in time for the 360 launch while we're told to expect it "in the weeks after launch and beyond". [Goes off to sulk.]

As well as the 18 boxed games due out on day one, the Americans will be able to make like us and download things from Xbox Live Arcade, and, for that matter, will be able to choose from a range of accessories similar to ours.

For specifics on the European line-up and accessories, be sure to see our previous coverage.
