Empire has announced details of its coupling with car giant Ford for Ford Racing Evolution. The title features 32 different vehicles - ranging from the 1968 Mustang right up to the most modern of concept car - for you to sling about recklessly on a variety of road, off-rooad, jungle, desert and oval tracks. Apparently the emphasis is on appealing to the casual gamer, so we can expect pick-up-and-playability along with some fairly lenient physics and handling. The usual racing play modes are in residence here (standard racing, head-to-head, time trials, elimination) along with drafting and racing line modes. Ford Racing Evolution is on course for PS2, Xbox and PC on 31st October, and that was probably one of the most humourless news items I've ever written.
