This week's XBLA release

Is Assault Heroes.

Wanako Studios' Assault Heroes will be this week's release on Xbox Live Arcade, going live tomorrow after 8am GMT.

As usual there'll be a demo version alongside a full release, with the latter going for 800 Microsoft points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.30).

Assault Heroes is a shooter, in case the name didn't give it away, in which players adopt the role of the last survivor of a special forces unit trying to sort out a pesky underground lab.

There's a single-player mission mode as well as online co-operative play with enhanced attacks - and, presumably, the last-but-one survivor of a special forces unit trying to sort out a pesky underground lab.

Expect some vehicles to play around in too, along with all the usual online leaderboards, and 200 unlockable gamerpoints.
