The Getaway sequel still on track in UK

But it's been delayed slightly in the US. Perhaps they're updating the Congestion Charge zone.

The Getaway: Black Monday is still on track for a November release in the UK, a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson confirmed this morning, despite news overnight that the game won't make it to the US until January 2005.

"Development and mastering of the game is still on course for a November release in the UK," a spokesperson told Eurogamer. No reason has been given for the US delay.

The Getaway: Black Monday sees gamers thrust back into the grimy, accurately modelled streets of London in the interweaving roles of three new characters. The version on display at E3 earlier this year looked to have learned from many of the original game's mistakes - and members of the dev team insisted that remaining issues ought to be ironed out in time for the November ship date.
