The PlayStation 3 version of Sonic the Hedgehog has been delayed slightly and will no longer be around for the console's 17th November US launch.

Instead, IGN reports, SEGA's aiming to release the game in December - although the Xbox 360 version will appears to be on track for release this month.

And of course the situation is a bit similar in Japan, where Sonic's down for release in mid-December already.

So why the delay? Well, according to reports, SEGA's taking the time to sort out how the game handles downloadable content.
