Age of Empires III expansion

Due out this year.

Microsoft and Ensemble have announced that there'll be an Age of Empires III expansion on shop shelves this autumn.

As yet untitled, it'll let you lead one of three Native American civilisations including the Iroquois Confederation to fight for control of the Americas.

New gameplay elements and content are also promised including a full single-player campaign, new civilisations (including content for the European ones), Home City enhancements and new maps and units.

All sounds alright, and hopefully should give fans of the original game something new to take an interest in. Whether it'll convert you is another thing entirely - for all its commercial success, we thought AoE3 was getting a bit tired.
