Tsunami appeal game tournament this weekend

Support the Disaster Emergency Committee fund by playing games on a cinema screen in London this weekend.

Gamers in and around London this weekend are being encouraged to support the tsunami disaster aid appeal by visiting the Vue Cinema West End in Leicester Square and playing games on a cinema-sized screen.

By paying just £3 tournament entrance fee - or £1.50 to spectate - gamers can see and play their favourite titles on a massive cinema screen on January 8th/9th between 9am and 5pm, with the money going directly to the fund set up by the Disaster Emergency Committee. Volunteers will also be on hand with buckets for further donations.

As well as getting to play games on the big screen, those taking part will also be competing to win consoles and the latest new games.

Those who can't make it to event this weekend can also donate directly online at the Disaster Emergency Committee website.
