Sega Europe confirms Q1 dates

For Sonic Heroes, Sega GT Online, Nightshade and more.

Sega Europe has confirmed release dates for its first quarter line-up, including Sega GT Online, Sonic Heroes, Puyo Pop Fever and Nightshade (Kunoichi in Japan). On February 6th Xbox owners can look forward to the delayed release of Sega GT Online, which will have to work hard to compete with Bizarre Creations' heavily advertised and downright brilliant Live-enabled Project Gotham Racing 2, or they can opt for Sonic Heroes, which is also out on the 6th on Xbox, PS2 and GameCube. According to The Magic Box, Sonic Heroes picked up a 31/40 on PS2 and a 32/40 on Xbox and Cube in Japanese magazine Famitsu.

Also out on the same day is the PC version of Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut, followed later in the month by Puyo Pop Fever for PS2, Xbox and GameCube on the 27th, with Nightshade (also known as Kunoichi in Japan) arriving here on March 5th for PS2.

Looking slightly further ahead, Sega still plans to release Headhunter: Redemption on PS2 and Xbox in Q2, with Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution for the GameCube due out in the same period.

Completing the line-up for 2004, Sega aims to have Sports Interactive's Eastside Hockey Manager (PC), Blood Will Tell (Dororo in Japan, on PS2), Altered Beast (PS2) and Warhammer Online (PC) out before the end of the year.
