Splinter Cell 4 announced

X05: For current/next gen, PC.

Ubisoft has just announced that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 4 will be released in spring 2006 on current and next generation consoles as well as PC. And yes, one of those consoles is obviously Xbox 360 given the timing.

We're promised new gameplay "that promises to innovate and revolutionise the Splinter Cell franchise" with a new direction expanding the story and the Sam Fisher character.

"Splinter Cell 4 will be even more thrilling and heart-pounding than its ground-breaking predecessors. This new version will both enrich the gaming experience on current consoles and take full advantage of the capacities of next-generation consoles to deliver players the most fabulous gaming experience ever," said Ubi CEO Yves Guillemot.
