IRC for PSP

Why bother with an expensive "PC" or "mobile phone" when you can import a £200 games console to send text messages.

Volksport has come up with a new script which allows you to access Internet Relay Chat (IRC) via the PSP.

The WipEout Pure web browser hack - which can be found here - is required to get the PSP online. Then it's a simple matter of visiting pspirc.com.

The service is free to use, although donations are welcome, and is designed to work with phones and PDAs as well as the PSP.

At present you're limited to conversations within the PSPIRC chatroom and entering messages via a virtual keyboard, but it's still better than a couple of yoghurt pots and a piece of string.
