Game music composer to score Pixar film

The Incredibles add Michael Giacchino to their number.

Composer Michael Giacchino, best known for his work on various videogame soundtracks (most recently Call of Duty and Secret Weapons Over Normandy) has been signed up to score The Incredibles, the next film we can expect to see from animation powerhouse Pixar.

Although Giacchino undoubtedly has television and film credentials (he currently works on Alias and has scored films including Buffalo Soldiers), much of his work focuses on videogames. You can hear samples of his work from COD, SWON, various Medal of Honor titles and some older projects (including The Lost World on PlayStation, which he did for Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks studio) here.

According to his website, Giacchino will also be scoring the Call of Duty PS2 and Xbox titles for Activision in 2004.
