Ridge Racer 6 online details

Trickling rather than speeding.

Namco has teased us with more details about its forthcoming Xbox 360 game, Ridge Racer 6.

Addressing the online side of the game, the hugely-anticipated racing title will boast head-to-head online modes, and for the first time in the series, downloadable content such as new cars, via Xbox Live 360.

On a "worldwide player matching system", gamers will be able to drive against others online, upload their personal records from the game's Time Attack mode to the Leader Board and download ghost data to virtually race against friends or some trash-talking 12-year old that wouldn't shut up under normal conditions.

Namco's press release seems to still have the game down as a launch game for Xbox 360, so here's hoping that doesn’t slip or slide from the estimated November 25th release. Frankly, we can't wait.
