New DSi XL colours next month

Has sold over 3.6 million units globally.

Yellow, green and blue variants of the DSi XL handheld will arrive next month, Nintendo has announced.

The new models will be available from 8th October in Europe.

That takes the total number of DSi XL colours to five – with Wine Red and Dark Brown versions available from launch.

The DSi XL hit stores back in March, boasting screens 93 per cent larger than the DSi's and an enlarged pen stylus.

As of June 2010 the console sold over 3.6 million globally, taking the total number of hardware sold in the DS range to a whopping 132 million.
