Mysterious Capcom/Namco/Sega 3DS collaboration teased

Internet theorists have a field day.

The untitled Capcom/Namco Bandai/Sega 3DS collaboration announced by Nintendo last month has just taken a turn for the mysterious.

As noted on NeoGAF, a teaser website for the game was updated last night to show a scientist opening a refrigerated safe to reveal three petri dishes, each marked with one of the publishers' logos.

Clicking on one of the lids opens the dish to reveal three differently coloured X chromosomes.

What does it all mean? Well, NeoGAF posters are having a good guess. The current theory goes that the different colour schemes represent characters from each publisher's stable of IPs.

They so far think they've identified Chris or Leon from Resident Evil, Zero from Mega Man X, Kite from .hack, Bayonetta and Hatsune Miku.

So, some kind of crossover title perhaps? Take a look a for yourself and see what you think.
