More PSone games for PSN

Up on Thursday. Crash 2!

The Heavenly Sword demo due on Thursday is the big catch for PSN users this week, but let that not diminish the rest of the offering - four "new" PSone games and a couple of trailers.

Following the success (read: I played Crash Bandicoot for five hours) of the last batch, consisting of WipEout, Crash and Jumping Flash, Sony has clearly decided to put the boat out a bit with, er, Crash 2, Spyro 2, MediEvil and Syphon Filter (Sony had previously pegged WipEout 2097 for release, but later swapped it out for Syphon Filter...and then took that back too).

That's according to semi-official Sony blog Three Speech. Pricing isn't specified, but the others cost GBP 3.49, so expect that. All four should run on PS3 and PSP thanks to recent advances in doing-what-would've-made-sense-in-the-first-place.

Meanwhile, trailer fans will be able to park their eyes in front of Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - the latter due out in Japan this October. You can of course watch those trailers online now, but Three Speech adds that this will give us the chance to see them in HD.
