More powerful Xbox One planned for 2017 - report

Plus, cheaper, smaller Xbox One for 2016.

Two new Xbox One consoles are planned for release over the next two years, according to a new report.

Kotaku's sources reveal a more powerful Xbox, codenamed Scorpio, is set for release in 2017. Kotaku says this will feature a more powerful GPU and will be able to support Oculus Rift.

The announcement of the smaller Xbox is set for E3 next month, according to Kotaku.

The news follows reports of a more powerful PlayStation 4, dubbed the PS4K. Digital Foundry has covered the PS4K, codenamed Neo, extensively.
