MK HD Kollection evidence mounts

It's Liu Kang good.

A freelance artist has added more weight to the rumour that an HD Mortal Kombat "Kollection" is on its way to PS3.

That artist goes by the name of Patrick Delmastro, and his portfolio cites past work (from March 2009 onwards) on projects including one Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection (via Mortal Kombat Online). UPDATE: This has since been removed.

Dun dun dun!

His word by itself won't sink ships, but then he isn't alone: GAME still carries a listing for Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection from all the way back in September 2010. If it's wrong, why hasn't it been removed?

GameStop also briefly listed the Kollection.

That Kollection is rumoured to house Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 all under one roof - plus a demo for Warner's new Mortal Kombat game.

It's similar to what Sony has already done with the God of War Collection and the Sly Trilogy, and what will be done with the Tomb Raider Trilogy, which is also a PS3 exclusive.

Mortal Kombat, the new game, is shaping up nicely. Check out Johnny Cage in action below.

Not to be confused with Johnny Minkley.
