Monster Hunter 4 announced

All-new Capcom game coming to 3DS.

Capcom is preparing an all-new Monster Hunter game for the 3DS, following swiftly on from the announcement of Monster Hunter Tri G for Nintendo's handheld.

Monster Hunter 4 was revealed at Nintendo's pre-TGS conference in an impressive video clip which highlighted new platforming mechanics and showed the player clambering up large beasts Shadow of the Colossus-style.

Grabbing the next mainline game in the phenomenally popular Monster Hunter series will be a huge boon for Nintendo as it looks to strengthen the 3DS after what's been widely considered as a weak launch.

We'll be taking a look at Monster Hunter - as well as the strange appendage for the 3DS which it introduces - at this week's show.
