Microsoft treats heading to EG Expo

Forza 3 and Halo 3: ODST on show.

Yes! More Expo games! We can hardly believe it either. Today it's Microsoft who takes centre-stage, tossing AAA Xbox 360 exclusives into the fray like thongs at a Timberlake concert. The Redmond giant isn't messing about either - the two games we're happy to confirm today are Forza Motorsport 3 and a little old thing called Halo 3: ODST. Yes, yes, we're aware that both of these titles will be in the shops at this point, but, as Tim Westwood might say - hold up, big dog.

For a start, Forza 3 will be playable on a quite literally immense set-up of three screens, forming the sort of wrap-around, bridge-of-the-Enterprise visual cornucopia which you're unlikely to experience anywhere else. A bit like this, except better because it's Forza 3, not 2, and it's in real life and not just on YouTube. Oli and Tom, our resident people who really like pretending to drive cars, are tremendously excited about the whole affair - as Oli's tremendous E3 hands-on illustrates. No wonder, too, given Forza's pedigree. Still, don't just take our word for it, sit down with Turn 10's head honcho Dan Greenwalt for a look at what will be on offer.

Halo 3: ODST fans can get their glee on too - a full-on multiplayer bonanza will be theirs for the taking as Microsoft throws down the gauntlet for you to settle scores with strangers. And sub-machineguns. If you're really lucky you might even catch one of us standing around bemusedly in the midst of a firefight, preparing to sacrifice our professional reputations on the altar of your no-doubt superior shooting skills. Obviously we'll all be working our little booties off most of the time, though, so try and catch us during our 11-4 lunch hour.

Microsoft has also been generous enough to provide us with oodles of kit, powering the Xbox 360 side of the show with generators running on pure love. Kudos.

Anyway, have a think about it - for the price of a sweaty market-burger you could be winging your way to the UK's finest games show.
